We fight mosquitoes left and right here in West Texas. I am always on the lookout for something to help keep their population down around my house, so the grandkids can play outside.
I purchased the Hoont Indoor bug zapper bulb, thinking that I would use it on the front porch to keep some of the bugs out of the house. It doesn't work very well outside. Now, it DOES attract plenty of bugs, it just doesn't seem to kill them as well outside as it does inside. Don't know why. You do not hear it zap when it gets the bugs. The bigger bugs were still attached to the outside of the light frame, and were stunned, but not dead. The bugs that actually got to the inner light were dead.
The trap on the bottom is easy to empty, just unscrew it and empty, and you're good to go again. This bug zapper can be used in any light socket. I plan on putting it near the back door of the RV when we go camping again.
