I am a certified diver, and have been diving for a while. Good equipment is a must for diving. I ordered the CBSports mask and snorkel set for my son's girlfriend, so that she can learn to dive with us. I tried them out before giving to her.
The mask and snorkel are good quality for snorkeling. I'm not sure that I would recommend them for deep diving, as I couldn't get a great seal around my face. The double feathered skirting seems to be a bit thin. As this mask doesn't have a built-in one-way expulsion valve, this could be a problem. I did like the closed-top snorkel while snorkeling. It kept the water out of my mouth when I went under. The mask has a clip to hold the snorkel in place. You can remove this clip if you are not using the snorkel.
The tempered glass lens does fog up, if you don't treat it beforehand with anti-fog, or toothpaste, but this is true of all masks. The swivel buckles on the side are pretty sturdy, and easily adjustable to fit any head.
The mask and snorkel come with a bag to keep them in, but personally, I would recommend buying a case to keep the mask in to prevent scratches to the lenses.
Another personal recommendation would be to buy a strap cover to cover the back strap. Back straps are notorious for pulling wet hair. There is nothing wrong with this backstrap. They all pull hair.
All in all, I think this mask and snorkel are going to be good for my son's girlfriend to start her diving experience with.
