I have suffered with Rheumatoid Arthritis for a number of years, and joint aches are a part of my everyday life. Trying to find ways to get relief from this pain can be a pain in itself. Knee braces do help to some degree.

The Chief Gear Neoprene knee sleeves are really nice, a little thick maybe (7mm), but that's ok with me. When I am sitting at home, and my knees are hurting, I slide the knee sleeves on, sit back and relax for a bit, and let the warmth from the sleeves ease the pain. If you have a hard time pulling the sleeve up on your legs, rub some powder on your legs first, and this will help the neoprene slide easier. With my arthritic hands, this helps me a lot.

If I wear them while I'm out and about, I sometimes have to adjust them a time or two, as they will bunch a bit, if I do a lot of bending. They also get a bit warmer when you are actually moving about in them. Still not a problem for me.

A set of Pateller knee braces was included with this purchase, but I have not tried them out, so can't tell you much about them.

To clean the braces, just wash by hand with a gentle laundry detergent, or put in a laundry bag, and wash on gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry.
