My son is an Automotive Mechanic, and I always worry about him getting his fingers caught in a moving part when he has a ring on. I don't want him to lose a finger because his ring got caught in something. I saw the Silicone rings, and thought that this would be a much better ring for him to wear, and decrease the chance of injury to his hands.
The rings are made to break away if they should get caught in something, thus saving the finger of the wearer. They are made of medical -grade silicone, and are hypoallergenic. I liek that the set came in 4 different colors - classic black, tungsten grey, platinum grey and white - so that he can change rings to match whatever he may be wearing at he time.
I would recommend these for anybody that works with machinery and runs the risk of catching their ring in a moving part, and damaging, or severing a finger.
