My son is an avid hunter, and has quite a knife collection, so when I saw the Red Cell Tanto knife, I knew he would like to add it to his collection. This is a cool-looking knife. I like the camouflage look.
The knife has a nice weight to it. It's not heavy, but just about right. The tempered steel blade is sharp already, when you receive it, so you don't have to start off by putting a good edge on it. The serrated edge of the bed can be used to scale a fish, make tender for a fire, etc. The sharp edge can be used for cleaning an animal or fish, cutting rope, etc.
The knife comes with a sheath that can be put on a belt to make it easier to carry the knife with you. The material the sheath is made from is good and thick. You don't have to worry about the knife coming through it and sticking you.
Now for the downside. The handle of the Tanto knife is a little bit loose. This could affect the use of the knife. If you were to throw the knife, your aim would be off. If it were to come off during use, it could cause a nasty cut. My son works on his knives, so he will be able to correct this problem.
All in all, an great knife to add to his hunting gear.
